There are 2 Dominique Kimpflin (1778-1858) bassoons in the Hichwa-Rachor database. He was born in Alsace and worked in Lyon, France. His workshop was very close to that of Charles Rust in Lyon, and it is almost certain that for a time he worked for Rust.
