Grenser, August Bassoons

There are 9 original bassoons of Carl Augustin Grenser (1720-1807), and 1 copy based on a August Grenser bassoons in the Hichwa-Rachor database. He trained in Leipzig under Johann Poerschmann and flourished in Dresden from 1744 until p.1798. August Grenser is the uncle and instrument making teacher of Heinrich Grenser. In 1772 while in Salzburg, Leopold Mozart ordered oboes and bassoons from August Grenser.
