The Hichwa-Rachor database contains one original bassoon of Pierre Godfroy jeune (born La Couture 1805). He flourished in Paris from 1823 to 1845. Pierre was the nephew of Clair Godfroy. Like his uncle, he made all woodwind instruments but was principally known as a flute maker. In 1836, he was listed as a “maker of flute, flageolet, clarinet, military instruments.”
