The Hichwa-Rachor database contains one original bassoon of Johann Christian Gehring (1722-1791). He flourished in Leipzig from 1755 until his death in 1791. Interestingly, in the 1750s, he was listed as living on the same street (alley) in Leipzig as Gottlieb Crone, the father of Johann August Crone.
