The Hichwa-Rachor database contains one original bassoon of Pierre Florent Joseph Cuvillier. He was a member of the Cuvillier family of woodwind instrument makers from St. Omer (in northeast France close to the Belgian border). The woodwind maker Cuvillier aîné was a member of this family. The Cuvillier family flourished in St. Omer from a1792 to the early 19th century.
